PENDLETON — In a big game you’ve got to have big plays, and New Palestine had all of them in Wednesday’s Pendleton Heights Sectional semifinal at Legends Field.

PENDLETON — Greenfield-Central sophomore Kristen Wineinger hit the go-ahead home run in the second inning, and then helped add some insurance runs with her hustling infield single in the third.

KNIGHTSTOWN — Wednesday night’s Class 2A Sectional 41 semifinal at Knightstown between Eastern Hancock and Shenandoah was a roller coaster ride of a game.

Led by a nine-run fifth inning, Eastern Hancock’s baseball team rallied from an 11-8 deficit to defeat Irvington Prep Academy 22-18 Tuesday.

At IHSAA Girls Track and Field Regionals at Shelbyville and Pike high schools Tuesday, Hancock County participants qualified in eight events for next week’s state finals in Bloomington.
