Mt. Vernon basketball standout Ellery Minch will be in action tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to wrap up the week of the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series.

CHICAGO — In its 39th year of honoring the nation’s most elite high school athletes, Gatorade announced earlier this week that Hogan Denny of Mooresville High School is the 2023-24 Gatorade Indiana Baseball Player of the Year. Denny is the first Gatorade Indiana Baseball Player of the Year to be chosen from Mooresville High School.

CHICAGO — In its 39th year of honoring the nation’s most elite high school athletes, Gatorade announced earlier this week that Audrey Lowry of Tri-West High School is the 2023-24 Gatorade Indiana Softball Player of the Year. Lowry is the first Gatorade Indiana Softball Player of the Year to be chosen from Tri-West High School.

They’ll reminisce, laugh and hug, but this reunion has a lot on the line.

YORKTOWN – The Muncie Central Boys Golf Regional is always packed with top talent, making it a tall task to advance onto the state tournament for Hancock County schools, Greenfield-Central, Mt. Vernon and New Palestine.

BEDFORD — New Palestine didn’t let having to work overtime effect the way it played in Monday’s championship softball game in the Class 4A South Semi-State at Bedford North Lawrence.

GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central senior Tyler Young shot the best round of his career, a four-under par 68, to win the Greenfield-Central Boys Golf Sectional individual title at Hawk’s Tail of Greenfield Golf Course Monday.

JASPER — It was on a different field and with some new faces, but it looked a lot like a season ago.

BEDFORD — New Palestine got all the runs it needed Saturday to advance to the Class 4A South Semi-State softball championship game against No. 5 Center Grove tonight.

For the second time this school year an outstanding season by an Eastern Hancock sports team came to an end just shy of reaching a state championship game — and again — the culprit was Brownstown Central High School.
