For most families, using paid childcare services in Indiana doesn’t make sense. It costs more than parents can earn by working.

A Shakespearean tragedy is characterized by death and disaster, involving characters of high societal status: Prince Hamlet, King Lear, Julius Caesar, Lord Macbeth.

Normally it is best to assess political careers well after someone leaves office. But these aren’t normal times.

Technologies and opportunities abound to add clean electric power to our communities and fuel growth in our economy. Indiana is seeing a birth of new industry such as battery manufacturing with more than $6 billion investment and 2,800 jobs created by Stellantis and Samsung SDI in Kokomo, solar panel manufacturing in Jeffersonville and Indianapolis bringing more than 1,400 jobs, EV assembly in Princeton Indiana by Toyota will bring $1.4 billion in investment and there is a growth in demand for datacenters that will bring billions more of investment to our state.

Let’s start with a confession.

Many economic development leaders and elected officials think of their state or city like it’s a business.

BeijingWest Industries (BWI) Indiana, a China-owned company, is closing its Greenfield business after operating there since only 2019. What do the Hancock County Council, Hancock Economic Development Corporation, and Greenfield Mayor Guy Titus think about this?

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.
