Pie auction to raise money for EH

My sister, Linda, worked for the CIA for about 15 years. She couldn’t talk much about what she did there because most of her responsibilities were top secret. Her work was a recipe for intrigue. I visited her office once and I was escorted every moment of the tour, but I did get a taste of what she did. By the way, the CIA here is not the Central Intelligence Agency; it was the Culinary Institute of America.

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Eastern Hancock High School senior Brooklyn Willis recently made a donation of sensory-friendly toys to a local hospital, thanks to her EH community.

FORTVILLE – Honor roll students for Fortville Elementary School were recently named, based on grades from the first quarter of the 2023-24 school year.

Several community pumpkin painting events happened across Hancock County this month, including this one at the Sugar Creek branch of the Hancock County Public Library in New Palestine.

Multiple Fortville-area congregations organized a community night of worship on Oct. 1 in Landmark Park. After an hour of worshiping together, an after-party featured bounce houses and games. The group of churches, Fortville Christians Unite, works together on several projects and events through the year, including contributing to the Fortville Area Resource Mission food pantry.
