GREENFIELD – Local agencies are announcing ways that families in need can get assistance this holiday season with gifts, clothes and food.

Fifth grade students finished up a special unit on the “The Wizard of Oz” last week with decorated halls and special activities. Teachers dressed up as characters and students participated in an Oz escape room, made tornadoes, watched the classic film and more.

The Future Farmers of America national convention was in Indianapolis last week, and local students took part in conferences and learning experiences. The middle school and freshmen members of the Eastern Hancock FFA, for example, experienced speakers, the downtown expo hall and shopping mall, and a rodeo.
