Revival services start Sunday

Lord’s Acre Festival starts Friday

Multiple churches plan to come together later this month for community worship nights outdoors.

Services take place Sunday unless otherwise noted.

The Wilkinson and Knightstown Wayne Township fire departments recently rescued dogs that were trapped in a vehicle. Around 4 a.m. Aug. 29, the crews responded to a crash on I-70; a minivan was on its roof directly under the overpass on CR 1050E. The people in the accident were out with no injuries, but they were transporting dogs in cages from New York to Colorado. The dogs had to be extricated from the van; neither dog suffered injuries “and I think we made some new friends,” the Wilkinson Volunteer Fire Department social media page announced. The following animals are available for adoption from the Hancock County Humane Society. Some cats can be viewed at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe, 7852 E. 96th St., Fishers, while others can be met in Greenfield. NineStar Connect recently shared a photo from this year’s Indiana Electric Cooperative Rodeo. Brenden Box took third place in the apprentice lineman knot-tying competition. Eric Truitt, electric operations manager, took third place overall in the senior lineman division, for any lineman over age 45.
