Gospel group to sing Sunday
GREENFIELD — Gospel Servants Quartet will be in concert during the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday at Greenfield Faith Church, 328 N. Swope St.
Prayer gatherings have election focus
Several local churches will offer times of prayer leading up to Election Day.
–Brookville Road Community Church plans to have a prayer gathering at 7 p.m. Sunday in its building at 7480 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine.
–Community Christian Church is having a 24-hour day of prayer and fasting starting at 7 a.m. Monday, with the church open for anyone who wants to pray.
–Mt. Comfort Church will have a prayer gathering at 6 p.m. Monday at the church’s Philly Campus, 2265 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. It’s not a formal service but a time when people can come in and pray.
–Curry’s Chapel Church will have a time of prayer for the United States from 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, which is Election Day.
-Parishioners of Cross of Grace Lutheran Church wrote prayers for the election season and made a 40-day prayer guide, viewable on the church’s website.
St. John to offer bazaar
CUMBERLAND — St. John United Church of Christ will have a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 2) at the church, 11910 E. Prospect St., Indianapolis.
It will feature homemade craft items, baked goods, outside vendors and lunch.

Joyous conference ministers to women
GREENFIELD — The Joyous conference for women is set for Friday and Nov. 9 at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 E. Fifth St.
Janelle Romine of Christ the King Apostolic Church in O’Fallon, Illinois, is keynote speaker. She will speak in sessions at 7:30 p.m. Friday and noon Nov. 9.
Sarah McCurry of Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis will speak about “Joy in Serving” during a breakout session at 10 a.m. Nov. 9.

Personal care items sought
GREENFIELD — In support of Love INC and the local community, St. James Lutheran Church is a collection and distribution spot for household and personal care items to those in need. It is always collecting paper products, hygiene products, laundry soap, cleaning supplies and personal care supplies for this the H2O Ministry. The church is located at 1741 S. State St.
Gallery showing ‘Handmade with Love’
GREENFIELD — The 23 East Gallery inside Greenfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is showing works of art based on the theme “Handmade with Love.”
Works will be on display through Dec 1 in the gallery, in the south annex of the main sanctuary at 23 N. East St. The public may see the work on Wednesdays or Thursdays by contacting the church office for an appointment at 317-462-6348 or during worship service each Sunday at 10 a.m.
Contributions by Betty Wright, Arlene Atkins, Marcia Hunt, Sandy Hall, Patti Mink, MaryAnn Troxel and Carolyn McCracken include garments, quilts, wearables and framed handicraft items made by loved ones or themselves.
In December the gallery will welcome Mark Rouse, an Indianapolis artist.
Over the winter months, church members and community artists are encouraged to create something patriotic for a summer display. Photos of veterans may be included.
