Dinner event to benefit Nameless Creek

GREENFIELD — Fall That Jazz is coming up this Saturday, Oct. 26 as a fundraiser dinner supporting Nameless Creek Camp.

The event is 6-10 p.m. Oct. 26 at the camp just south of Greenfield. Tickets are $60 and includes dinner, drinks and entertainment featuring Duke Blevins-DJ Karaoke Entertainment and Big Poppa’s Pork Pit Catering.

Love Inc. to benefit from brass concert

GREENFIELD – An evening of music featuring the Indianapolis Brass Choir will benefit a local organization.

The event is from 4-5:30 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 27 at Trinity Park Church, 207 W. Park Ave., Greenfield. A good will offering will be taken benefiting Love In the Name of Christ of Greater Hancock County (Love Inc.).

Cake fundraiser to benefit women’s recovery house

GREENFIELD – A cake auction is coming up, benefiting the Talitha Koum Women’s Recovery House.

The event is 6-8:30 p.m. this Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Community Foundation of Hancock County, 971 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. The event will include tea sandwiches and beverages. Auctioneer Wayne Addison will host a live auction, in which people at each table pool their donations to bid on one of 22 decorated cakes. Once all cakes are auctioned, they will be served at each table.

The event will also include a raffle. Proceeds benefit the house, which supports women learning to live free from substance abuse. Learn more at talithakoumtk.org or facebook.com/TKrecoveryforwomen.

Local kids to portray “The True Story of Hey Diddle Diddle”

GREENFIELD – Tickets are available now for the KidsPlay Inc. production of “The True Story of Hey Diddle Diddle.”

The family-friendly production features 26 young actors in a full-length comedy. It portrays seven imaginative stories telling what might be the story behind the nursery rhyme, like why a cow could leap over the moon or why the dish ran away with the spoon.

Show dates are 7 p.m. Nov. 15, 7 p.m. Nov. 16 and 2 p.m. Nov. 17 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St., Greenfield. Presale tickets online are $6 at crazylakeacting.com. Tickets are also available at Hometown Comics for $5; the store is located at 1040 N. State St., Greenfield. Tickets the day of the performance are $7.
