NEW PALESTINE
Scott Lee Jones, age 57, of New Palestine, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on January 8, 1967 to Terry Jones and Linda (Greene) Jones Welter. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1985 and furthered his education at Ivy Tech Community College. He married Trisha (Carwein) Jones on July 12, 1997 in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Scott was the proud president and owner of KCS Group Shredding &Recycling for over twelve years. He was a member of the Elks Club in Noblesville, Indiana and the Hancock FOP. He was also a member of the Brookville Road Christian Church. When Scott was able to, he loved to travel and vacation with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the relaxation of a nice game of golf. Scott was a sports fan and some of his favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, Indiana University, and New Palestine athletics.
He is survived by his wife, Trisha Jones of New Palestine, Indiana; daughters, Ariana Jones of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Kalle Jones of New Palestine, Indiana; parents, Linda and Wayne Welter of Fishers, Indiana; brothers, Clint (Yvette) Jones of Noblesville, Indiana and Josh Welter of Greenfield, Indiana; brother-in-law, Scott (Denell) Carwein of Plainfield, Indiana; and father-in-law, Steve Carwein of Ft. Meyers, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Jones; brother, Shawn Jones; and mother-in-law, Karol Carwein.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Kris Sorensen will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine, Indiana.
