Marlene Dishman passed away on October 1, 2024, in Portland Oregon. Prior to moving to Portland in January 2020 to be near her sons, she was a lifelong resident of Greenfield. She was born March 21, 1935, to Glenn and Mable (Mitchell) Crider, who preceded her in death as well as a loving aunt Charlotta “Peachie” McClarnon. She was blessed to have had wonderful, loving grandparents who gave her unconditional love throughout their lives, the Reverend and Mrs. Forest Crider and Arza and Ola Mitchell, who too have preceded her in death.

Survivors include her beloved children: Alan (Sid) Dishman, Portland OR, Cindy (David) Roberts, Greenfield, and Martin Dishman, Portland, OR; her cherished grandchildren: Ryan (Danielle) Roberts, Greenwood, Eric Roberts, Indianapolis, and Alex (Taylor) Roberts, Greenfield; and her precious great-grandchildren: Theodore, Cora and Reagan Roberts. In addition, she is survived by her loving siblings: Joseph Crider and Ronnie (Karen) Crider, Clearwater, FL. She leaves several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as many good friends.

She was a 1953 graduate of Greenfield HS. She retired from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2011, but also worked at three auto dealerships in Greenfield prior to her retirement. Marlene was a member of the Bradley United Methodist Church and attended the Stringtown Nazarene Church.

Her passions were many: family, friends, cooking, entertaining, good ole fashioned fun, she was a passionate sports enthusiast, avid reader, and world traveler. Marlene will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she so lovingly touched.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10:00-12:00 noon at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with funeral services immediately afterward. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield, IN. www.stillingerfamily.com
