Holly Lawson to take GOP leadership class

GREENFIELD – Holly Lawson of Greenfield is among a group of women in the 2024-2025 class of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series.

She is among 20 participants representing 12 Indiana counties, and the only one this year from Hancock County.

Inspired by the late Indiana Senator Richard Lugar, the series was established in 1990 as a not-for-profit women’s leadership development program designed to increase the preparation, influence and number of Republican women in local, state and national elective and appointive offices, according to a press release.

To date, the Lugar Series has trained 624 Hoosier women and has produced party leaders, public board and commission members, political operatives, and elected officials from mayors and legislators to state executive office holders.

Holly Lawson is the wife of Ethan Lawson, the Republican running for Indiana House District 53 this upcoming Nov. 5 election. She is a Mt. Vernon and Ball State graduate, and also a Republican precinct committeeman.

She holds a master’s degree in management and leadership from Western Governor’s University. She is the communications director at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
