Finance classes available this fall

GREENFIELD – Faith and Finances classes are coming up this fall.

Love In the Name of Christ of Greater Hancock County (Love INC) is hosting a series from Oct. 8 through Nov. 19. Free financial education is provided, along with dinner and childcare from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday evenings at Bradley United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main St., Greenfield.

Harvest event coming to HCPL

GREENFIELD — “Happy Harvesting” is the theme of an upcoming Green Thumb Project event at the Hancock County Public Library.

Learn about food preservation and the importance of sustainable gardening in a free educational event sponsored by the Hancock County Soil and Water Conservation district and the Hancock County Master Gardener Association.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Sept.21 with presentations and educational booths from 10 a.m. to noon. The library is at 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. Register in advance at hcplibrary.org.

Chamber to host open houses

VERNON TWP. – The newly merged Hancock County Chamber of Commerce will host two open houses in Vernon Township this month.

The Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Hancock Area Chamber of Commerce recently merged to form a united Hancock County Chamber of Commerce to combine resources, networks and services. The open houses will give representatives from the chamber board, staff and ambassadors a chance to greet residents and businesses of Vernon Township.

Events are from 5-7 p.m. this Thursday, Sept. 19 at Moon Drops Distillery, 738 W. Broadway St., Fortville; and 5-7 p.m. Sept. 23 at Hancock Wellness Center, 8505 N. Clearview Drive, McCordsville.
