Cougars drop match at Hawk’s Tail

GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central’s girls golf team finished third of three teams in a nine-hole match at Hawk’s Tail of Greenfield Monday.

Triton Central won the meet with a score of 217, two strokes better than Rushville (219). Greenfield-Central shot a 233.

Kynsey Hasty and Tanessa O’Neal had the low rounds for the Cougars with each shooting a 54. Alissa Kitcoff had a 59. Aly Wilson shot 62 and Kate Baker finished with a 63.

Rushville’s Emma Thressler was medalist with a 45.

Greenfield-Central is back in action Tuesday with New Palestine at Franklin Central. The match is being played at Smock Golf Course.

Match postponed

New Palestine’s dual with Greenwood at Valle Vista Country Club was postponed due to illness.

The Dragons are scheduled to play Tuesday at Smock Golf Course against host Franklin Central and Greenfield-Central.
