WILLOW BRANCH

Brian Keath Pell, age 60, of Willow Branch, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Bad Tolz, Germany on November 22, 1963 and adopted by Robert A. and Kathryn (Stephenson) Pell. He graduated from Eastern Hancock High School in 1982. He married his best friend Rosemarie (Mohr) Pell on March 4, 1989. He was a devoted husband for 35 wonderful years. Together, Brian and Rosemarie built a life filled with honesty, love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He would often say their relationship was unlike any other.

For over 30 years, Brian worked as a construction manager and always balanced his time between his family and work exceptionally well. When the housing market crashed, he pivoted his career path and pursued a CDL. His dedication and hard work shone through as he supervised, drove, and eventually helped run a small dump truck business. Brian was a 9-year 4-H member who showed both cattle and hogs. After graduating high school, he continued his involvement in 4-H by serving as a club leader, traveling with Erika showing sheep, and guiding 4-Hers through the program. In addition to his love for family, farming, and the outdoors, Brian had always had a passion for baseball, playing into his young adult years on a league for fun. He had a passion for hunting and fishing as well. Brian and Rosemarie also enjoyed many years on a bowling team, camping, hitting the casinos, and just being at home together. These team-building and bonding experiences with family and friends instilled in him a deep appreciation for teamwork, fun, and dedication. He found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of casting a line, even while in the hospital, being surrounded by nature, and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Pell; daughter, Erika Pell; granddogs, Riverly and Bandit; brother, Robert A. Pell Jr. (Karen L. Pell); brother-in-law, Bobby Mohr (Leslie); sister-in-law, Mary Ann Cox (Larry); brother-in-law, Andy Mohr (Lorna); sisters-in-laws, Barbara Friesenhahn (Leonard) and Jennifer Norris (Brad); six nieces; five nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and also his biological family in Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. and Kathryn (Stephenson) Pell.
