KidsPlay auditions coming up
GREENFIELD – Auditions for the fall production of KidsPlay Inc. Is coming up.
“The True Story of Hey Diddle Diddle” will be performed on stage Nov. 15-17.
Auditions for returning KidsPlay actors are 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 20. New auditioners are asked to come from 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 22. Auditions will be in “the Dungeon,” 98 E. North St., Greenfield. Imagination Library reaches thousands of local children
GREENFIELD – There are 2,652 local children enrolled in Imagination Library in Hancock County, and 2,362 children have already graduated from the program.
The program provides free books to families living in Hancock County with children ages birth to 5. The Community Foundation of Hancock County and the Hancock County Public Library partner to administer the event. According to information released recently from the foundation, an endowment fund now exceeds $2 million to provide sustainable financial support for the program. Birding group events open in August
GREENFIELD – Greenfield Birders are hosting community bird watching events at local parks in August.
The group, in collaboration with Greenfield Parks and Recreation and the National Audubon Society, will host events to gather and view birds at 8 a.m. Aug. 10 at Brandywine Park and 8 a.m. Aug. 24 at Thornwood Nature Preserve. There will be two events to view birds each month now through October at Beckenholdt and Brandywine parks, and Thornwood Nature Preserve. Summer reading programs wrapping up
GREENFIELD – Local families have one more week to keep track of the hours they read in summer book clubs hosted by Hancock County libraries.
