GREENFIELD – Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to join in the annual Steak ‘n Bake ‘n Raffle, hosted by the Rotary Club of Greenfield.
The annual event returns to the Hancock County Fairgrounds Sept. 21. Last year, Hancock County nonprofits raised more than $190,000 through the event.
Nonprofits that want to participate this year are asked to send a one-page summary of their mission statement, vision, impact and number of people served annually along with a 501(c) 3 letter and most recent years’ financials by July 30. Each nonprofit that applies will be invited to give an elevator speech at the club meeting Aug. 15. Rotarians will vote for their top 15 to participate in the raffle event. These nonprofits may then garner new dollars for the fundraiser beginning Sept. 1, culminating the night of the event. The top five organizations that bring in the most dollars will get to split the profits raised at the raffle. The remaining five will retain the dollars they raised.
