GREENFIELD — An elite talent has narrowed his college basketball plans to 10 elite schools.
Braylon Mullins, the Class of 2025 basketball star from Greenfield-Central High School, announced on social media Monday the final 10 schools he will consider to continue his athletic and academic career after his final season with the Cougars.
The 6-foot, 4-inch, 4-star, athletic, sharp-shooting guard is considered one of the nation’s best players in his class. He’s ranked No. 30 overall by ESPN.com.
The list is a true who’s who of college basketball, including state schools, Indiana and Purdue, along with other blue-blood programs Connecticut, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Among others, Mullins has received offers from Butler, Notre Dame, Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State, Arkansas, and Virginia.
Following the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June, Mullins went on unofficial visits the following week to Kentucky — where he received a scholarship offer — Purdue and Ohio State.
He announced in June he had official visits set at Michigan on Sept. 7, Indiana on Sept. 20 and Tennessee on Oct. 19, coinciding with the Volunteers big third Saturday in October football rivalry game with Alabama.
Other official visits added to his list include UConn (Aug. 1), North Carolina (Sept. 14), Alabama (Sept. 28) and Kentucky (Oct. 25).
