Eleanor Louise “Becky” Halcomb, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 11, 2024, in Morristown, IN. She was born on May 30, 1935, in Indianapolis. Eleanor enjoyed a very successful career in the Insurance Business, working for Gordner Insurance Agency and Doug Kafoure Insurance. Additionally, she dedicated many years as a Sales Associate for JCPenney Washington Square, where she received numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional sales achievements.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Lynn M (Philip) Galligan, grandsons Steven M (Sarah) Galligan, Andrew S (Jenn) Galligan, granddaughter Mary Kathleen “Katie” Galligan, great-granddaughters Abby, Emily and Olivia Galligan, brothers Fred (Judy) Ferguson, Jim (Vickie) Ferguson, Mike Ferguson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Edward Beck, mother Thelma Day Beck Ferguson, sisters Mary Katherine Beck Myers, Deborah Ferguson Ham, and brother William Beck.
A service to honor Eleanor’s life will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, with calling hours from 10am to 11am at Cross of Grace Lutheran Church, New Palestine, IN followed by a service at 11:00am at the church. A light lunch will be served afterward. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cross of Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
