Ramona Lee (Chapman) Williams, 81, Indianapolis, passed away May 28, 2024. She was born on November 13, 1942, in Indianapolis, to Raymond R. and Ruby E. (Crowder) Chapman. She is a 1961 graduate of Greenfield High School. Ramona married William F. Williams on March 31, 1990.
Ramona obtained her associate degree from Ivy Tech in 1978 in computer programming technology. She was employed by INDOT as a shop productivity analyst from 1987 until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed watching soap operas, singing, collecting angels, surrounding herself with fresh flowers, and worshipping the Lord. Her love of God came above her other activities as she truly was a good and faithful servant. She often read the bible and was a member of Greenfield First Church of God. But above all, Ramona loved her family and relished it when she could be around her grandchildren. She was also a wonderful friend to many.
Ramona is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Randy) Gulley; grandchildren, Kenneth Gulley (Brittany Muszynski) and John (Aramatta) Schaeffer, Jr.; brother, Alvin Chapman; and nieces and nephews: Matt Morris, Leslie Seamark, Ryanne Comerford, Scott Chapman, Jessie Melton, and Jason Melton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Williams; daughter, Rhonda Schaeffer; sister, Ruby Morris; brother, Raymond Chapman, Jr.; grandson, Kyle Gulley; granddaughter, Tiffany Schaeffer; and beloved dog, Myah.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, and the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Alpaca and Llama Society.
