Great Hancock Hunt coming up

GREENFIELD – The Great Hancock Hunt is June 22, raising money for Hancock County Senior Services.

The event is a twist on a traditional scavenger hunt. Download an app and work with a team to choose missions around Hancock County. The teams with the most points win prizes. Be prepared to answer trivia, submit photo and video evidence at landmarks across Hancock County and more. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the hunt kicks off at 9:30 a.m. at 1870 Field Blvd., Greenfield. Cost is $50 per team. Sign up at hancockhunt4hcss.eventbrite.com.

Outdoor painting event June 8

GREENFIELD – The Plein Air Paint-Out celebrating art in Hancock County is coming up June 8.

The event, centered around the Hancock County Courthouse, is for all ages. Adults pay $20 and children 12 and under are free. Participants are encouraged to paint on canvases outside throughout Hancock County and monetary awards are available in children’s, teens and adult divisions. Register at hancockcountyarts.org.

Designer purse fundraiser June 20

GREENFIELD – Summer Bingo Bash will raise money for meals on Wheels of Hancock County, with designer purses, raffles, purse pulls and more.

The event is June 20 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 515 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games start at 6:30 p.m.

Disability speaker series coming up

GREENFIELD – The Arc of Hancock County will host a June Speaker Series, featuring experts for parents, guardians, caregivers, therapists and educators of individuals with disabilities.

Ethan Prickett will speak at God’s Embrace Indy Coffee Shop at 11 a.m. June 7. Dr. William Bennett will speak via Zoom at noon June 26. Learn more or sign up at facebook.com/thearcofhancockcounty.

Foundation to host yoga event

GREENFIELD – A community yoga event is coming up, along with an opportunity to learn more about giving.

The Community Foundation of Hancock County is hosting a yoga event from 8:30-11 a.m. June 21 at the Thrive Center, 971 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. Breakfast, smoothies and acai bowls are provided; the first 18 to sign up and attend will receive a yoga mat and carrying bag. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mat or towel to class.

The multi-level yoga flow class will include breathing, sun salutation, standing postures, balance, floor work and relaxation. Participants will also learn about how grants from unrestricted sources ignite projects and programs in Hancock County through the foundation.
