Frank R. Jackson, 80, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Frank was born on February 4, 1944, in Kokomo, IN to Frank L. and Mary M. Jackson.
Frank attended Kokomo High School and graduated with the class of 1962. After graduating, Frank married his high school sweetheart, Martha Buffum. They raised three children in a loving home. Frank worked as a supervisor for Peerless Pump Company. He later worked as an assembler for Ford Motor Company, from where he retired in 2008.
Frank was a avid stamp collector and was a member of the Indianapolis Stamp Club. He enjoyed bowling and doing yard work. His family says he has the “softest grass around.” Frank was a member of Community Christian Church for over 20 years, where he served as deacon for several of those years. Frank really loved the Lord and was looking forward to going home to be with Him.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Martha Jackson; sons, Frank A. (Teresa) Jackson, and Bryan Jackson (Misty Kersh); daughter, Sheri (Michael) Presley; ten grandchildren, Danielle (Mitch) Martin, Madison Jackson, Bryce (Erica) Jackson, Brock (Deborah) Jackson, Madisson (Caden) Dorsett, Emily “Molly” Kersh, Alyssa (Hagen) Moore, Shelby Cobb, Owen Presley, and Logan Presley; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Debbi) Jackson; and his best fur friend, Tanner.
He is preceded by his parents, his stepmother, Edna Jackson and his nephew Shane Jackson.
There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Community Christian Church at 3123 South 500 West, New Palestine, IN 46163.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to The Oblong Children’s Home at 4094 East 1050th Ave. Oblong, IL 62449. This organization was very near and dear to Frank’s heart!
