Dyana Cousins recently shared these photos from her trip to Fairbanks, Alaska to visit her son Brett Ward, his wife Jesse and “granddoggie” Gus. “When I arrived it was minus 25 below. Got 8 inches of snow while I was there,” she wrote. “Schools do not close until it gets minus 50 below. Yes, they only have a few hours of daylight this time of year. Drove thru Isabel Pass in the Alaska Mountain Range. Mountains are beautiful in the winter. Saw lot of caribou, moose and other wildlife. Went on a dog sled ride, it was awesome and the Northern lights were beautiful.” She shared that her son is a heavy haul trucker and his loads go to oil fields. “Always an adventure when I go,” she said.
