Larry Ray Reffitt, age 82, passed away on January 3, 2024.Larry was born in Princess, KY on March 17, 1941 to Arvil and Louise (nee Runyon) Reffitt. He grew up in Wilkinson, IN. He was a 1959 graduate of Wilkinson High School and went on to obtain his Master’s Degree in Music from Ball State University. He was a successful band director for many years in Central Indiana and then in Anaheim, CA. He was an accomplished trombone player and arranged music for many bands around Southern California. After teaching, he worked as a fundraiser for schools in Michigan, Colorado and Kentucky.Larry was a devoted son, father and grandfather. His interests included music, travel, sports and anything his kids were interested in.Larry is survived by son, Aaron Reffitt, and daughter, Dara Reffitt, both of Portland, OR; grandson, Aidan Reffitt, of New York City; and brother Paul Dewayne Reffitt of Branson, MO. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Phillip D. Reffitt of Kissimmee, FL.He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
