Ronald Lee Stover, 73, Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. He was born as a twin on October 21, 1950, in Stewart, OH, to Charles Boyd and Essie Mae (Hilt) Stover. He attended Federal Hocking High School.Ron was a tremendously loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Ron was a jack of all trades as no project was too large nor small or complicated nor simple. His love for restoring classic cars was his highlight. He would often travel to Las Vegas to rummage through junk yards finding car parts for his new endeavors. At times, he would haul trailer after trailer home with his new treasures. Ron also had a love of gardening, especially tomatoes; remodeling the house from bottom to top; and cooking and baking, especially fudge and cookies. Ron was owner/operator of Stover Construction for many years. He later worked at Walmart in Greenfield for 8 years under many capacities.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Carol J. (Jordan) Stover; his sons, Mark (Misty) Stover and David (Crystal) Stover; step-daughter, Christy Cuebas; grandchildren: Dustin Stover, Ashley Stover, Kierston Stover, Davis Stover, Bridget (Garrett) Crafton, Mark Stover, Jr, Stephanie (Matt) Deiwert, and Dr. Tori (Jordan) Hiner; great-grandchildren: Jailyn Rather, Dallas Stover, Kylee Young, Krew Crafton, Michael Stover, Carson Deiwert, and Sadie Deiwert; siblings, Don (Diana) Stover and Patty (Larry) Matheny; several nieces and nephews; and mother of his children, Mildred Jane (Forbes) Jackson.He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Stover; siblings: Bus Stover, Erma Metcalf, Elmer Stover, Harold Stover, and Judy Jarus; and son-in-law, Victor Cuebas.Visitation will be on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. The service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Ron’s classic station wagon will bring him to Park Cemetery to be laid next to his beloved son, Mike. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Hancock Animal Management, 740 S.
