GREENFIELD – Officials with the Greenfield Police Department (GPD) asked for assistance from the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team to help defuse a domestic incident in the 200 block of Howard Street, near Riley Park Wednesday afternoon.
The situation ended peacefully around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday afternoon with the man who had barricaded himself inside a residence walking out without incident. Officials with the Joint Tactical Team did drop two noise-flash diversionary devices prior to the man deciding to come out.
Deputy Chief Chuck McMichael of the GPD had noted this was an isolated incident and had advised for people to stay away from the area when the incident started around 2 p.m.
