GREENFIELD – Two local opportunities are available for free Thanksgiving Day meals.
The Lisa Muegge Feast of Plenty is Nov. 23. The Thanksgiving Day celebration provides meal delivery and carry-out for the community, as well as bags of groceries. To request a meal or groceries, visit feastofplentyoutreach.com. The website also provides ways to volunteer, donate or sponsor the event. Meal requests are preferred, but drive-up requests at the Hancock County Fairgrounds the day of the event will also be honored.
The Blazer 88 Foundation will host the meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple St., Fortville. The event is open to anyone who wants to attend.
Founded in 2020 in memory of Chuck Theobald IV, the Blazer 88 Foundation is a volunteer organization that helps veterans with specific needs. Learn more at blazer88.org.
