Winnie A. (Crim) Enyart, 90, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Legacy at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born on July 9, 1933, in rural Henry County to George Howard and Doris Julia (Howlett) Crim. Winnie married the love of her life, Rev. Paul C. Enyart Jr. on September 3, 1955, in Silver Lake, Indiana.

Winnie graduated from Lebanon High School. She then attended Marion College and soon after began her training as a nurse at Methodist Hospital where she obtained her “RN” certification. Methodist Hospital was where she would spend most of her nursing career caring for patients. Winnie was a strong woman of faith. She was a past member of Greenfield Friends Church where she was a past secretary and Bible study teacher. She most recently was a member of Little Blue River Friends Church in Shelby County. Throughout her life, Winnie volunteered with many mission-oriented church groups. She and her husband served as missionaries in Central America for 14 years. Winnie also chaired an International Scholarship for church missions. Above everything, she cherished her family and loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.

Winnie is survived by her children, Stephen P. (Lorna) Enyart of Westfield, Debra K. McCord of Greenfield, Cheryl A. Garmon of Greenfield; nine-grandchildren, Pamela (Roy) Baker, Nicole (Seth) Thomas, Michael and Timothy Enyart, Allison (Dylan) Stafford, Connor and Lindsey McCord, Stephanie (Jake) Thompson and Emily Garmon; six great-grandchildren, Isaac, Adam, and Leenah Baker, Griffin Thompson, Amelia and Lillian Stafford. Winnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; son, David Enyart; brother, John (Joanne) Crim; and sister, Ruth (Corwin) Whittum.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at noon. Pastor Stan Banker will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Little Blue River Friends Church Cemetery in Morristown.
