GREENFIELD
Vern Douglas Henricksen passed away in Greenfield, IN on September, 22 at the age of 85. Vern was born March 19, 1938 in Rochester, MN to Delano Henricksen and Dorothy (Bauder) Henricksen.
Vern graduated from North Harrison High School in 1956. Following graduation, Vern enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1957 to 1959. Vern retired from Indiana Bell after 34 years of service. He was a member of Pisgah Lodge #32 and the Telephone Pioneers. In order to keep busy following retirement, Vern drove a school bus in Corydon, IN for several years. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
Vern was preceded in death by his parents, step son Doug Whitaker and grandson Steven Whitaker. Vern is survived by his wife Dorothy (Williard) Henricksen, son Doug Henricksen, sisters Delora and Delaine, step daughter Donna (Whitaker) Zirkle and her husband David Zirkle. Grandchildren include Jasmine Lee, Benjamin Zirkle, Adrian Rosbottom and Taylor Henricksen along with great grandchildren Adam Lee, Ellie Griesmeyer, Mia Griesmeyer, Aaron Lee, Hank Lee and Rowen Jo Rosbottom.
Graveside services will be held on September, 29, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Park Cemetery, Greenfield, IN to pay last respects. The cemetery is located at 621 S. State Street, Greenfield, IN.
