Ronald Lee Youngclaus, age 71 of Knightstown, went to heaven September 16, 2023, in Greensburg, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 7, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Leroy and Mary (Krizek) Knight.

Ron had a tremendous love for his country and served in the United States Air Force from 1971 until 1991 where he served as a recruiter. Many will know Ron as the owner operator of Jack’s Donuts in Greenfield. He was also a journalist and salesman. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, movies, pets, and collecting stamps. Above all else, Ron was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Grandpa Donut.”

He is survived by his wife, Shawn (Roseman) Youngclaus; children: Wendy (Nathan) Schmiedicke, Sean (Tarra) Youngclaus, and Nathan Roseman; grandchildren: Elijah, Jonah, Joseph, Josiah, Ezra, Lucas, Miriam, Pia, Mason, Blake, and Cooper; and siblings: John (Hilda) Jungclaus, Terry (Sharon) Knight, Bev (John) Kula, and Cindy (Patrick) Ziemniak.

He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; wife of 36 years, Gail (Mohr) Youngclaus; and brother, Kenny Jungclaus.

Visitation will be 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. A funeral service follows at 1:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Burial with military rites immediately following will be at Cooper Cemetery, 2353 E. 600 N. in Greenfield.
