GREENFIELD
Richard Ladd Hunt, age 85, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Greenfield on July 13, 1938 to Oliver and Kathryn (Hudson) Hunt. He graduated from Greenfield Central High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Airforce as an E-4 from 1960-1964. Richard married Paula Sue (Murphy) on October 14, 1966 in Mohawk, IN.
He worked for Naval Avionics in Indianapolis as an assembler for 30 years before retiring. Richard liked yard work, CB Radios and computers.
Richard is survived by his sons, Robert (Melissa) Hunt and Charles Hunt, both of Greenfield; step-son, Tony (Connie) Cross of Greenfield; grandchildren, Tyler and Cora; step-grandchildren, Jourdan, Justin, Jaxson, Courtney, and Chelsie; great-grandchildren, Liam and Charlotte; step-great-grandchildren, Camryn, Levi, Lucy, Macy, Maverick, Carolina, and Collin; brothers, Tony Hunt of Bloomington, Dale (Ruth Ann) Hunt of Miamisburg, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Bill Beck of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Kathryn Hunt; wife, Paula Sue Hunt; and sister, Kay Beck.
A celebration of life for Richard will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Robert and Melissa Hunt’s residence in Greenfield.
