FORTVILLE — The intersection of Walnut Street and U.S. 36 in Fortville will temporarily close for two days beginning or after July 31.
The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone made the announcement this past Tuesday that the intersection will be closed for two days to complete storm pipe installation, weather permitting.
During the closure, East High Street and South Main Street will open to the public, with South Main Street open for one way traffic going southbound.
Once the work is completed, the crews will reopen Walnut Street.
During closures and construction, INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by using extra caution, driving distraction-free and slowing down in work zones.
