HANCOCK COUNTY – Students with ties to Hancock County were recently named to honor or graduation lists at colleges and universities across the country.
Briggs Uhler of Charlottesville graduated from Kettering University in Flint, Mich. in June with a degree in mechanical engineering, Magna Cum Laude; he’s the son of Dusty and Mel Uhler. Denver P. Campbell of Greenfield also graduated from Kettering with a degree in mechanical engineering, summa cum laude; he is the son of Chris and Karen Campbell. Both were 2018 Eastern Hancock High School graduates.
The University of Maryland Global Campus awarded degrees to Brandon Cottrell of Greenfield, bachelor of science in management studies; and Adrian Rochelle Williams of Greenfield, bachelor of science in human resource management.
Ellie-Marie Ann Hendrickson of Fortville earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Kokomo.
Manchester University in North Manchester, Ind. awarded degrees to Keryna Barrett of Greenfield, bachelor of science in social work sociology and criminology, cum laude; and Onyekachi Robert-Eze of McCordsville, doctoral degree in pharmacy.
Franklin College awarded degrees to Claire Elisabeth Cherry, New Palestine, bachelor of arts in biology (ecology/conservation); and Megan Elizabeth Kincaid of Greenfield, bachelor of arts in elementary education.
Through the University of Mississippi, Bailey Watkins of New Palestine earned a degree in psychology; and Carson Etheredge of McCordsville earned a degree in computer science.
Several local students were also named to honor lists.
University of Alabama named Cole Gwin of Greenfield, Lucy Collins of McCordsville, and Sterling Hibton of McCordsville to the dean’s list for achieving a grade point average of at least 3.5. Andrea Hayes of McCordsville was named to the UA president’s list for a 4. 0 GPA.
Noah Cochard and Daniel Campbell of Greenfield were named to the Marian University dean’s list for spring 2023.
Elissa Hart of McCordsville was named to Ohio University’s spring provost’s list for high-achieving, part-time undergraduate students. Alaina Nugent of Fortville was named to Ohio University’s spring president’s list for achieving a 4.0 GPA with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill. named Anna Caster of Greenfield to the dean’s list for at least a 3.5 GPA in the spring semester.
University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio named Max Burhenn of McCordsville and Romaro Warren of Fortville to the dean’s list for achieving at least a 3.5 GPA in the spring.
Several Hancock County students were named to the dean’s list at Indiana State University. Greenfield residents include Candace Albrecht, Alayna Aldridge, Tyler Antic, Lilly Combs, Joshua Crowson, Ellys Davenport, Joel Giberson, Alex Hager, Kayleigh Hite, Adam Hokanson, Jacob Huber, Kohler Kerber, Gracie Kern, Allison Lenser, Julianna Leny, Jessi Rankin, and Derek Shelley. McCordsville/Fortville students named to the ISU dean’s list were Dylan Dreiman, Ryan Cole and Alexis Fears. Students from New Palestine on the ISU list were Clayton Wesley, Hanna Willis and Matthew Brown. Shirley/Wilkinson students were Abigail Ebbert and Ashton Smith.
