Fundraiser applications due for Steak ‘n Bake event

GREENFIELD – Local nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply to benefit from the upcoming Steak ‘n Bake ‘n Raffle.

The Rotary Club of Greenfield is hosting the event Sept 30. Last year, more than $69,000 was raised for nine Hancock County organizations.

To apply, send a one-page summary of the nonprofit’s mission statement, vision, impact and number of people served annually; the 501(c)3 letter; and the most recent year’s financials to [email protected] no later than July 28. Each nonprofit will be invited to give their elevator speech at the Rotary meeting Aug. 17; the top 15 nonprofits will be accepted. If fewer than 15 apply, all will be accepted. Teddy bear clinic coming up

GREENFIELD – Gateway Hancock Health just west of Greenfield will host a Teddy Bear Clinic event for children of all ages.

The free event is 9-11 a.m. July 8 at 6189 W. John L. Modglin Drive, Greenfield. Bring a favorite teddy bear, stuffed animal or doll to Gateway Hancock Health and learn how to care for them and keep them healthy. Children will check in their special friend; be called back to get their height, weight and temperature; and help their friend get vitals and vaccinations. Each family will receive a swag bag with items to help continuing care at home; there will be more giveaways throughout the morning. Register for the event at eventbrite.com.

Family picnic event coming up

GREENFIELD – A free picnic is coming up for families.

Hancock 4 Kids will host a picnic with games and giveaways from 6-7:30 p.m. July 13 at Riley Park’s east pavilion, 280 Apple St., Greenfield. For more information and to make a reservation, visit hancock4kids.org.

Animal group to benefit from dining event

GREENFIELD – Hometown Classic Pizza will host a dining fundraiser for Partners for Animal Welfare Society today, June 28.

The dine-to-donate event is for dine-in, delivery or carryout; 20 percent of all sales from 4-9 p.m. goes to P.A.W.S. The restaurant is located at 1002 E. Main St., Greenfield; call 317-462-5054.
