Hampton Walk will have homes such as the Charles Coastal Classic design from Fischer Homes.

MCCORDSVILLE — In a press release this past Tuesday, Fischer Homes announced 216 houses will be coming to McCordsville.

Located across from the currently under construction town hall project, McCord Square, the new community of houses, which will be called Hampton Walk, will sit across 93 acres and offer a variety of types of homes. These designs include designer homes, maple street homes, paired patio homes, patio homes and masterpiece homes.

Costs are expected to start around $300,000 and work its way up to $800,000, depending on the type of home.

In the press release, market president of Fischer Homes Indianapolis Division Brad Kriner said “With such a wide range of designs, virtually all buyer segments will be able to find a home that fits their needs.”

The new community will be located off of Mt. Comfort Road, close to I-70, and amenities will include a swimming pool, cabana, a playground and park, fountains, walking paths and a gazebo.

According to the press release, the community will be near recreational opportunities, such as McCordsville Sports Park, Geist Reservoir and Marina, Veterans Memorial Park and more.

It will also be within walking distance of McCordsville Elementary School and Mt. Vernon High School.

Fischer Homes is northern Kentucky based, and was behind the creation of residential communities such as the Villages at Brookside and Woodhaven, both in McCordsville. Together those two communities hold over 650 homes, and Brookside is almost sold out while Woodhaven is completely full.

“Hampton Walk is a community featuring a variety of housing options, walking trails, open space and other attractive amenities, all within walking distance of the exciting and vibrant McCord Square,” said Michael Kady, President of Grand Communities, LLC in the press release.

With McCord Square located close by, future residents of Hampton Walk will have access to the current $50 million project, with space planned for commercial and retail, apartments, public spaces, an amphitheater and the McCordsville Town Hall.

As far as completion date, Kriner said they anticipate several years until the total buildout. Project costs have not been finalized yet.
