FORTVILLE – A local volunteer for a national organization that distributes wreaths for placement on U.S. military veterans’ graves at Christmastime is seeking donors for a buy-one-get-one-free deal going on until next week.

Every December, Misty Rambis leads the wreath-laying effort at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, located at Ind. 13 and West CR 1025S. About 800 veterans are buried there.

Wreaths are $15, and those who donate by Jan. 17 can get two for the price of one for next year’s ceremony. Donations can be made at wreathsacrossamerica.org. The website’s menu includes a tool for searching for locations, and a search for “Gravel Lawn Cemetery” will direct donors to a sponsorship page.
