Lawrence E. “Larry” Miller, 88 of Rush County, passed away on October 23, 2022 in Rushville. He was born on October 21, 1934 in Hancock County, IN to the late George Perry and Margarete (Terrell) Miller. Larry attended Greenfield High School and went onto Western Electric training. He married Betty Lula (Case) Miller on October 23, 1960 and she survives.
Larry worked at Western Electric for over 30 years in Indianapolis as a Machine Operator. He served his country in the National Guard and then went onto the United States Marine Corps for 3 years. Larry was a member of the Sexton Christian Church. He loved to watch western movies and play bingo.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by his sons, Lawrence Miller II of Sexton and Brett Miller of Rushville, IN; daughter, Linette(Jeff) Hughes of Milroy; brother, Harlan Miller of KY. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Sylvia and Brooklyn Miller, Jama Hughes, Larry Miller III, Elizabeth Miller and Brittany Holloway and 6 great-grandchildren.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Sterling Miller, Sue Miller, George Miller, Hubert Miller, Doyle Miller, Marvin Miller, Tom Miller, Mike Miller, Barbara Miller, Sonya Kay Voss, Karen Rider, Janice Nunn of and infant brother, Bobby Miller.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor Mike Smith presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 AM until the time of service in the mortuary. Burial will be held in East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sexton Christian Church or to Our Hospice of Southern Indiana in memory of Larry.
