SPRINGFIELD, VIRGINIA
Wenford J. “W.J.” Greffey, Jr., 49, of Springfield, Virginia passed away on 2 June in Alexandria, Virginia. Born in Indianapolis on 4 April 1973. W.J. was a graduate of the Greenfield Central H.S. Class of 1991.
His lifetime dream was to break into the film industry. As CEO of Writers of the Storm, he was developing a television series for sale to a streaming service when he was diagnosed with multiple cancers in February.
He is survived by his brothers Grant and Robert as well as his mother, Rev. Patricia Greffey.
A memorial service is being planned for 4:00 PM EDT on Saturday, 25 June at Sydenstricker United Methodist Church, 8508 Hooes Road, Springfield, VA 22153. The service will be livestreamed.
