GREENFIELD
Rita Gaye (Bryant) DeVault, age 78, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Born on July 8, 1943, she was the daughter of Ronald Ernest Bryant and Eleanor Elizabeth (Abston) Bryant. Rita was a 1960 graduate of Howe High School. On July 23, 1960, she married David Allen DeVault.
She worked for Indiana Box for 27 years and retired in 2004 as office manager. She enjoyed playing Mah Jongg and going bowling and played in a local ladies Euchre Club. She loved going to casinos and especially enjoyed her annual trips to Las Vegas.
Rita is survived by her children, Doug DeVault of Indianapolis and Donna (William) Clark of Greenfield; grandchildren, Matthew (Megan) Clark of Greenfield and Robert (Asha) Clark of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Madison Grace Clark and Mason William Clark; sister, Sara Bowman of Plainfield; and sister-in-law, Judy Bryant of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, David DeVault; parents, Ronald and Eleanor Bryant; and brother, Ronald Bryant.
Graveside services will take place at Park Cemetery on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at noon. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory in Greenfield.
