MESA, ARIZONA
Alice Charlene (Garrett) Smith, 83 of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on September 13, 2021 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born on December 26, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late Ralph and Louise (Foust) Garrett.
Charlene was a homemaker. She was a member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church and Gold Canyon United Methodist Church in Arizona. Charlene enjoyed quilting, painting China, traveling, and especially spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Rex Smith, Mesa AZ.; children, Kim (Jeff) Glass of Greenfield, Marilene (Kirk) Dixon of Fishers, Kirk (Ester) Smith of Spain, Ryan (Rita) Smith of Studio City, California, Kyle (Jenny) Smith of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren, Joshua (Sarah) Caylor, Janell (Joel) Smith, Jennifer (Eric) Allen, Tony (Kelly) Glass, Ethan Glass, Danielle (Brian) Hacker, Samantha (Tyler) Akers, Erzhan Smith, Libertad Guerrero Romero, Mackenzie Smith, Connor Smith; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Cathy (Gale) Sturm; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1-4 P.M. at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, IN 46186.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hancock County Prevention of Child Abuse through the Hancock Community Foundation, 315 E. Main, Greenfield, IN 46140 or to the Willow Branch United Methodist Church, 6244 N. Thomas St., Willow Branch, IN 46186.
