FORTVILLE — The annual 4th at Fortville celebration takes place this Saturday, July 10, in Landmark Park, at 223 E. Staat St. near downtown Fortville.

The free event, hosted by the Fortville Friends of the Parks, promises “the same small town Fourth feeling you love with some new exciting events,” including a 5K that starts at 8 a.m. and a car show that revs up at 10 a.m.

Food trucks and other vendors will be open throughout the day starting at 10 a.m., and live musical acts take the stage starting at 7:45 p.m. The event wraps up with a fireworks display starting at 10 p.m.

SHIRLEY — The Octagon House Fish Fry takes place this Saturday, July 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the house at 400 S. Railroad St. in Shirley.

A full meal including a sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, dessert and a drink is $12, while sandwiches cost $6, side are $1 and desserts at $2.

Funds raised will go towards the restoration and upkeep of the Octagon House, a local landmark and community treasure.

GREENFIELD — Enjoy the movie classic “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” this Saturday, July 10, as part of Stillinger’s Sunset Movie Series, a free, family-friendly event hosted by Stillinger Family Funeral Home.

Watch the movie on the big screen as the sun sets over Greenfield on the lawn at Stillinger’s, located at 1780 W. Main St. in Greenfield.

Grab a blanket and save the date for this month’s film as well as future shows. Stillinger’s will be showing “Bolt” on Aug. 7 and the basketball classic “Hoosiers” on Sept. 4.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m., and movies start at dusk.
