GREENFIELD
Connie S. Tongate, age 60 of Greenfield passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Hancock Suburban Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 2, 1960 in Greenfield to the late Richard A. and Maxine V. (Myers) Potts.
Connie married Nanci Brogan on March 2, 2019. Together they enjoyed camping, boating and going to 70’s rock concerts. Prior to her retirement, Connie was a lead operator for Corporate Systems Engineering. Above all else, Connie was a devoted wife, mother and mamaw.
Connie is survived by her spouse, Nanci; children, James D. (Kym) Tongate, Kelly G. Tongate, R. Michael (Annie) Tongate, and Mason A. (Sierra) Brogan; grandchildren, John Thomas, Nicholas Thomas, Eric Tongate, Taylor Thomas, Hudson Tongate and Owen Tongate; sister, Tina (Monte) Gruell and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above, sister, Shirley Bass and brother, Larry Massie.
Calling will be 2-4 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield. Funeral service at 4 p.m. with Pastor Larry VanCamp officiating.
