FISHERS
Michael Gregory Syrus, age 40, of Fishers, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis on February 2, 1980 to William R. Syrus and Jayne E. (Kelker) Syrus Murphy.
Michael loved spending time with his family and son, Greyson. He enjoyed showing Greyson how to fish and watching him play baseball and basketball.
He is survived by his mother, Jayne (David) Murphy; son, Greyson Michael Syrus; siblings, Jennifer (Joe) Baker; Chris (Kathy) Syrus, Sarah (Adam) Hunt, Anne (Greg) Cunningham, and Josh (Connie) Murphy; uncle, Stephen (Roxanne) Kelker; aunt, Cristine Pisula; niece and nephews, Logan Baker, Hayden Baker, Sam Hunt, Isabelle Hunt, Grant Cunningham, Tyler Cunningham, Matthew Cunningham, and Porter Murphy; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Syrus; grandparents, Ralph and Mildred Kelker and Robert Syrus; brother, Rob Syrus; and aunts, Patricia Fitzgerald and Lynda LeDuc.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
