Applicants wanted for Farm Bureau scholarships

GREENFIELD — Hancock County Farm Bureau is accepting student scholarship applications for the 2020-21 school year. Students must belong to a family with an active Hancock County Farm Bureau membership, be enrolled in a Hancock County school or home-schooled, and have been accepted to an Indiana college or trade school with plans to enroll in an agricultural program this fall.

A winner will be chosen from each of the county’s high schools, plus an overall county winner. The overall winner will receive $2,000, and each of the runners-up will receive $500 made out to the school of their choice.

Applicants are to return the application along with supporting exhibits to their high school guidance office, which will will select the top three applicants and forward those to the Hancock County Farm Bureau office no later than April 15. Applicants are invited to see their school’s guidance department for an application and to determine the due date. Winners will be announced in May.
