GREENFIELD
Betty Darlene (Leary) Holt, age 95, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospice. She was born in Greenfield on January 4, 1924 to Everett Leary and Bessie Osting. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1942. Betty married Robert Holt on August 21, 1942 in Greenfield.
She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Indianapolis Lighthouse Tabernacle, where she was very active within the church.
Betty is survived by her sons, Everett Holt and Robert (Betsy) Holt II of Greenfield; daughter, Shannon (Duane) Bentley of Greenfield; five grandchildren, James Fisher, Sara Dowden, Robert Holt III, Kelly Barrett, and Duane Bentley; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Colby, Zachary, Rheanna, Alan, Olivia, and Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Tania Holt Frasher; and sister, Bonnie Shore.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Jeff Lowder will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.
