Coffee painting (and drinking) workshop offered

GREENFIELD — Hancock County Public Library will partner with Greenfield Grind and Indie Art Studio for a coffee and canvas sip ‘n’ paint from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept.12 at the library at 900 W. McKenzie Road. Indie Art Studio’s Rachel Holmes will teach a class on painting with coffee — literally — while students enjoy a sip of freshly brewed coffee from The Grind. Holmes will ditch traditional oils and acrylics to create a coffee-themed picture using nothing other than a brush, coffee and water. Students will leave with a new work of art and the caffeine buzz to tell everyone about it. No experience necessary, all painting materials supplied. People 18 and older may sign up for this free event at hcplibrary.org or 317-462-5141, ext. 240.
