Cougars swim past Dragons

Greenfield-Central traveled to New Palestine on Monday and came away with wins for both the boys and girls teams, with the Cougars boys winning 129-54 and the girls winning 123-63.

On the boys side, the Cougars got individual wins from Travis Black in the 200 Free and 100 Fly, Sammy Logan in the 200 IM and 500 Free, Sam Jennings in the 50 Free and 100 Free, Anthony Nagel in the 100 Back and Drew Noah in the 100 Breast. Three Cougars relay teams also picked up wins — the 200 Medley Relay of Carter Hudziak, Michael Joven, Jackson Pechin and Noah; the 200 Free Relay of Black, Logan, Nagel and Jennings; and the 400 Free Relay of Jennings, Logan, Pechin and Daniel Joven.Connersville at Mt. Vernon, 5:30 p.m.

For the Dragon boys, Austin Lines won the diving competition.

On the girls side, the Cougars got wins from Carley Logan in the 200 and 500 Free, Sarah Stutz in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Anne Marie DeKeyser in the 100 Free and Kaylee Walden in the 100 Breast. Cougars relay winners were Rebekah Bogle, DeKeyser, Stutz and Logan in the 200 and 400 Free.

Winners for the Dragon girls included the 200 Medley Relay team of Maria Virt, Jordan Owens, Jessica Rogers and Cassy Moorman. Karen Shriver won diving, while Rogers won the 100 butterfly.

Marauders boys, girls get wins

Mt. Vernon hosted Connersville on Monday, with both the boys and girls teams picking up big victories.

On the boys side, the Marauders came out victorious by a 113-65 score. For the girls, the Marauders picked up a 109-71 victory.
