The Greenfield-Central High School Marching Band will compete in the Indiana State School Music Association State Finals at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday. The Cougar Pride will take the field at 3:05 p.m. as the eighth band within the Open Class B division. The division is scheduled to begin at 1:20 and awards for the division are scheduled for 3:50. The band was one of 10 to advance to the state finals following the semi-state competition at Pike High School on Oct. 26. Due to the conclusion of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which took place this past weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium, the competition will be taking place a week later than it usually would, giving the bands who qualified for state an additional week to prepare for the competition.
The Greenfield-Central Cougar Pride will also perform in a community show on Friday November 8th at 7:30 pm in Hancock Health Stadium at Greenfield-Central High School.
