Cynthia A. Wardlow

December 9, 1962 ? October 17, 2024

Westfield, IN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Ann (Cindy) Wardlow of Westfield, IN on October 17, 2024 at the age of 61. Cindy was born in Carbondale, IL on December 9, 1962 to parents Clarence and Phyllis (Nuckols) Spence.

Cindy was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, love and support for her family and all living things. She loved all pets but especially cats, as well as scrap booking, card making, gardening, cycling, golf and photography. She also enjoyed traveling by driving vs. flying because this gave her the opportunity to get off the beaten path and see things she would never have imagined.

Cindy did not necessarily believe that rules needed to be followed, they were just suggestions in her mind. Speed limits, stop signs, all just suggestions and she acted accordingly. She was a risk taker within reason. On one such occasion, while working as a Project Leader in the Conversion Department at re: Member Data Services she was out enjoying the evening with fellow workers. After a meal and several libations one of her boisterous co-workers handed her a phone number and told her to call her brother, that he was her type. After being pestered enough, she made the call in the afternoon thinking no one would be home, would leave a message and that would be the end of it. Unfortunately (fortunately?) the party on the other end picked up. Conversations ensued, and the two finally met several months later. Cindy always said it was love at first sight.

Cindy and Tim Wardlow married on September 2, 1995, and spent 29 wonderful and adventurous years moving and traveling to various locations throughout the United States. She is survived by her husband Tim, their daughter Molly Wardlow (Mobile, AL) and brother Chris Spence (Tina) of Rushville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Phyllis Spence.
