HANCOCK COUNTY — Two Indianapolis residents are facing felony charges after deputies from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department found drugs in their vehicle following a traffic stop.

Sidney Deon Mcintyre, 35, 2400 block of Autumn Road, and Casey Lynn Relford, 33, 3100 block of North Webster Ave., were both arrested last week.

Mcintyre has been charged with a Level 2 felony count on dealing cocaine, a Level 2 felony count of dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance, a Level 4 felony count of dealing a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony count of dealing in marijuana and Class A misdemeanor count of driving while suspended.

Relford has been charged with a Level 2 felony count on dealing cocaine, a Level 2 felony count of dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance, a Level 4 felony count of dealing a narcotic drug and a Class A misdemeanor count of dealing in marijuana.

Both inmates had their initial appearance in Hancock County Superior Court 1 on Monday morning where Judge D.J. Davis set a $60,000 cash bond on Mcintyre and told him he needed to be back in court on Nov. 20. Relford’s cash bond was set at $20,000, and she too is due back in court Nov. 20.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a deputy conducted a traffic stop around 11:15 p.m. Oct. 14 on Buck Creek Road and Sacramento Drive. The deputy waited for backup and then asked the driver to exit the vehicle and bring his driver’s license. The deputy noted a heavy smell of marijuana coming from the man, who was identified at Mcintyre, and reported the license as being suspended.

Officials noted in the report that they asked Relford to also exit the vehicle and bring her driver’s license, and she too had the heavy smell of marijuana on her. She told officials everything in the car was her’s except a black bag.

The report stated deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and found a black bag, two large bags of marijuana, plastic bag containing cocaine, a bag containing 28 fake M30 pills, digital scales and cups used to scoop marijuana.

The report goes on to say that officials did an execution of the search warrant in the 2400 Autumn Road, Indianapolis, on Oct. 17, where they found mushrooms, marijuana and a loaded, black Glock 26 9mm.

The handgun contained a black extended magazine containing 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition and was found in a dresser. The dresser drawer also contained Mcintyre’s social security card and birth certificate. Officials noted in their report that Mcintyre is a convicted serious violent felon.
