Missions fair, speakers featured

GREENFIELD — World Renewal’s annual Missions Celebration will feature a missions fair and missionary speakers.

It runs from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road.

At the missions fair, visitors can meet missionaries, eat traditional foods and try activities from around the world.

A service will feature worship music in different languages and speakers Ricardo Silva and Assuerio Naque.

Dessert will be served afterward.

Gospel quartet to sing at Otterbein

GREENFIELD — 4 The Light Quartet of New Palestine will share music in a service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 2901 W. CR 200N.

McCordsville church to serve breakfast

McCORDSVILLE — The next community breakfast at McCordsville United Methodist Church will be from 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 19) at the church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.

Group discusses current events

GREENFIELD — A current events small group gathers at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Curry’s Chapel Church, 3488 N. CR 375E.

The group discusses events of the times and how they affect us. This is not a Bible study, but an open discussion about the events of the day. The group meets on the fourth Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana will conduct blood drives at several churches:

-McCordsville United Methodist Church, 2-6 p.m. Thursday at 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville

-Greenfield Faith Church, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at 328 N. Swope St., Greenfield

-St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, noon-5 p.m. Oct. 27 at 523 S. Merrill St., Fortville

German Dinner coming to Zion

NEW PALESTINE — Zion Lutheran Church’s 48th annual German dinner is set for 4-7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the church, 6513 W. CR 300S.

The traditional German dinner includes sauerbraten, pork and kraut, brats, ham, potato pancakes, green beans, potato salad, applesauce and desserts.

St. Thomas to serve chicken, noodles

FORTVILLE — The Chicken & Noodle Dinner is from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 27 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. It will take place in the Parish Activity Center of the church, 523 S. Merrill St.

Cost is $11 per adult meal; other prices are available.

A silent auction featuring theme baskets will also take place during the meal.

St. John to offer bazaar

CUMBERLAND — St. John United Church of Christ will have a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2 at the church, 11910 E. Prospect St., Indianapolis.

It will feature homemade craft items, baked goods, outside vendors and lunch.
